Testing Performance
Connections
Procedure
1
Preset the power meter.

Ensure that the power sensor is disconnected from any source and zero the
meter.

Connect the power sensor to the power meter's Power Ref connector and
calibrate the meter.

Make the connections to oscilloscope channel 1 as shown in the preceding
connection diagram.

Set up the power meter to display measurements in units of Watts.
NOTE
•
Connect output 1 of the 11667C splitter to the scope channel N input directly using the
11901A adapter and a connector saver, without any additional cabling or adapters.
•
Connect the power sensor directly to output 2 of the power splitter using the 11901C
adapter without any additional cabling or adapters.
•
Connect the microwave cable directly to output 3 of the power splitter using the 11901C
adapter without any additional cabling or adapters.
•
Minimize the use of other adapters.
•
Ensure the connectors are tightened properly to 8 in-lbs (90 N-cm).
