Sanitize the Instrument per the NISPOM Standard
Select [Menu] > System > Admin > Sanitize to sanitize the user data in the instrument per the National
Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Factory data (instrument firmware, model
number, serial number, MAC address and calibration data) is not erased. After the data is cleared, the
instrument is rebooted. This procedure is typically performed only when you need to remove an
instrument from a secure area. The sanitization procedure is not recommended for use in routine
applications because of the possibility of unintended loss of data.
Cleaning the Outside of the Instrument
SHOCK HAZARD To prevent electric shock, unplug the unit before cleaning.
Clean the outside of the instrument with a soft, lint-free cloth, slightly damp with water. Do not use
detergent. Do not disassemble the instrument for cleaning and do not clean the rear panel in order to
avoid getting moisture near the connections. Ensure that the instrument is completely dry before
turning it on.
