A n y setting value stored in one of the P R E S E T K E Y s @
cannot be altered while the O U T P U T L E D © i s lit (during
the output operation). T h e setting value c a n be changed
during the output operation if the V A R I A B L E L E D © is lit.
(2) T o change the set value stored in the P R E S E T K E Y :
1) Press any one of the P R E S E T key ( 1 , 2 and 3) to store a
n e w value for it w h e n the s y s t e m is placed in the state
described in 1) of the previous section.
2) Press the M E M O R Y key.
3) S e t a n e w voltage/current value according to the proce-
dures described in 2) to 5) of the previous section.
4) Press another P R E S E T key store a n e w value for it again.
5) T o stop setting a n e w value h a l f w a y , press the M E M O R Y
key again before pressing the P R E S E T key a s described
in 4 ) . In this c a s e , the M E M O R Y LED is turned off and the
previous status (postive, negative output, values and each
LED status) before the M E M O R Y key is pressed as
described in 2) will be restored.
6-5 OUTPUT PROTECT Feature
The unit is equipped with the V A R I A B L E K E Y and P R E S E T K E Y s
(1,2,3) to change and set an output value. Each of these 4 keys
can change a setting value (output value) w h e n it is p r e s s e d .
If a different key is pressed by mistake while the Unit is in oper-
ation, it is likely to erase or change loaded data (a sample cir-
cuit, e t c . ) .
(e.g., If one of the P R E S E T K E Y s is pressed by mistake while
the Unit is used in the V A R I A B L E s t a t u s , the setting value
stored in the pressed P R E S E T K E Y is output, w h i c h may erase
the loaded data accidentally.)
The O U T P U T P R O T E C T feature is useful to prevent this type
of accident. T h i s feature protects the load by burning off the
O U T P U T at the moment w h e n any of the output setting k e y s
is pressed (while the Unit is in the " O U T P U T O N " s t a t u s ) .
If the T R A C K I N G K E Y is turned ON, the output value may
also fluctuate considerably. In this c a s e , the O U T P U T
P R O T E C T may be turned ON to shut off the output.
