Characterize the calibrator for 1 Ω and 10 Ω
To characterize the calibrator:
1. Connect the calibrator and the reference DMM as shown in the figure below.
2. On the calibrator, enable the
OPR
key and the
EX SNS
key.
3. Ensure that the
OPERATE
display and
EX SNS
key are illuminated.
4. Source
0 Ω
.
5. On the reference DMM, enable
4-wire resistance
and
2 Ω range
.
6. Select
Ω PLUS
, then
TruΩ
, Resl to
RESL ‘7’
, and Fast
OFF
.
7. Verify
0 Ω
.
8. Perform range
ZERO
as required.
9. On the calibrator, source
1 Ω
.
10. On the reference DMM, record
1 Ω
reading.
11.
Use the reading as the target for the Model DMM7510 1 Ω verification.
12. Repeat these steps for 10
Ω characterization.
