7.6. Customizing Keeper
Changing configuration of the Keeper program.
7.6.1. General concept
Keeper loads settings from the
initialization file
.
The file may be edited from the WebTuner program (for details refer to
subchapter 10.10 ). To do this:
1. launch the WebTuner program (for details of how to start this
program refer to subchapter 10.4);
2. select Keeper from the main window list of programs and use
the
default config
hyperlink to move to display the Keeper
configuration window.
Options in this window allow customization of various processing rules for
different
address groups
. Every address group has its own name and is
defined by the list of incoming and outgoing addresses. For example, you
can preset the program to delete infected messages with the To address
, and ignore infected messages with the To address
.
For every address group you can define:
•
Processing infected messages. The program is able to handle
infected messages using one of the following methods:
•
notify the recipient about the infected message detected
(see subchapter 7.6.2.4.1);
•
block the message from being delivered to the
recipient’s mailbox (see subchapter 7.6.2.4.2);
•
deliver a disinfected message to the recipient’s mailbox
(see subchapter 7.6.2.4.3);
•
pass an infected message without disinfecting to the
recipient’s mailbox (see subchapter 7.6.2.7).
