Raising a load unit from the side
Requirements
– Prepare the truck for operation, see page 139 or see page 140.
– Load unit correctly palletised.
– Fork spread for the pallet checked and adjusted if necessary, see page 184.
– Load unit weight does not exceed the truck's capacity.
– Forks evenly loaded for heavy loads.
– Good ground conditions.
Procedure
• Press the deadman button.
• Drive carefully up to the storage location.
• Lower/raise the load handler so that the load can be lifted.
• Do not press the deadman button.
• Slowly insert the forks into the pallet until the fork shank
touches the load or the pallet.

The load unit must not extend by more than 50 mm
beyond the fork tips.
• Press the deadman button.
• Raise the load slightly until it rests freely on the forks.
• Do not press the deadman button.
• Slowly retract the forks to the home position, see
• Press the deadman button.
• Make sure you have a clear view and sufficient area to
move in.
• The load can now be transported with the truck, see
The load has been lifted correctly.
