Checking the hydraulic oil level and topping up the hydraulic oil
Requirements
– Fully lower the load handler.
– Prepare the truck for maintenance and repair work, see page 107.
Procedure
• Remove screws (120) from the cover (121).
• Remove the cover (121) from the hydraulic reservoir.
• Check the oil level in the hydraulic reservoir (125).
Z
There are two markings (124) on the hydraulic reservoir (125). With the load
handler fully lowered, the hydraulic oil level in the reservoir needs to lie between
the min. and max. markings (124).
• Add hydraulic oil if necessary:
• Loosen M12 screws (122).
• Lift out the hydraulic unit and place on the load handler.
• Turn the lid (123) anti-clockwise from the hydraulic reservoir (125).
• Add hydraulic oil of the correct grade (see page 106) up to the "max" mark.
• Turn the lid (123) clockwise on the hydraulic reservoir (125).
• Re-insert the hydraulic unit.
• Tighten M12 screws (122) to 84 Nm.
• Install the cover (121) on the hydraulic reservoir.
• Install screws (120) on the cover (121).
• Restore the truck to service after maintenance and repair work, see page 118.
The hydraulic oil level has now been checked.
Z
If a leak is discovered in the hydraulic system (cylinders; unions, lines), the truck
must be decommissioned and repaired by specialist personnel.
