In order to ensure maximum efficiency in chipping work, the anvil must be
properly maintained. Following these maintenance guidelines is important
to ensure efficient chipping:
●Keep the edge of the anvil present.
●Keep the gap between the anvil and the blade.
●It takes two people to adjust the anvil.
Before checking and maintaining the anvil:
1.Remove the feed roller box cover and spring
2. Lift the feed roller holder and insert the feed roller bracket latch (See the
locking procedure in the security section)
3. Shut down and lock the machine in accordance with the safety section.
Failure to lock the machine, such as rollers or power-off, can result in serious
injury or death from accidental operation. The machine must be locked before
carrying out maintenance (see the safety lock procedure section).
Turning the drum can squeeze or cut a person's limbs; Wearing loose clothing,
jewelry, and long hair can lead to serious personal injury or death, such as
winding and cutting. Before maintenance, make sure to turn off the engine
and wait for the drum to stop turning completely and secure the drum with a
latch.
If the gap between the blade and the anvil is incorrect, the cutting
performance gets poor or the blade can get damaged and chipper shall be
overburdened. Always maintain the correct blade clearance.
Anvil
Anvil is beneath drum housing and behind feeding roller. Chipping work is
finished by collaboration between blade and anvil. So gap between blade
and anvil is very important.
