TYPOLOGIES OF SANITIZING GEL
For the correct functioning of the totems equipped with gel dispensers, we
strongly recommend the use of “J-Gel”, the high-performance liquid sanitizer
developed and produced specifically for JTotems and distributed by JMC
Group. Otherwise, the use of a spray sanitizing gel is recommended.
SAFETY
The sanitizing gel must never be swallowed or come into contact with the
nose and eyes. J-Gel is produced by Neula (Via Brancaleone Doria, 1 - 07100
Sassari (SS) - Italy). In case of emergency, contact the manufacturer Neula.
SANITIZING GEL REFILL
Totems with gel dispensers
(5.)
need to be refilled with gel whenever they run
out.
COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON MIXTURES
J-GEL sanitising gel does not contain substances classified as harmful to
human health or the environment according to the terms of Regulation
(EU) 1272/2008 (CLP) ( and subsequent amendments and supplements) in
quantities that would require a declaration.
RISKS IDENTIFICATION
J-GEL sanitising gel is an alcohol-based liquid and highly flammable. Even
explosive vapours can be released.
2.6 SANITIZING GEL
FLAMMABILITY RISK
The sanitising gel is alcohol-based and therefore at risk of flammability. The
totems, and in particular the tank
(15.)
and gel dispenser
(5.)
, must be kept
away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames or other sources of ignition.
Prevent any electrostatic charge accumulation. Smoking is not allowed in the
proximity of the totems, in particular the gel dispenser
(5.)
and the tank
(15.)
.
FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Fire extinguishing methods
Appropriate:
Carbon dioxide, foam, chemical powder.
Not appropriate:
Water jets. Water is not effective in extinguishing fire but can
be used to cool closed containers exposed to flame, preventing bursts and
explosions.
Risks related to the sanitizing gel
In case of explosion or fire, avoid inhaling the products of combustion.
Recommendations for personnel in charge of fire fighting
It is highly recommended to cool gel containers with water jets and to always
wear full fire protection equipment.
Environmental protection measures
Extinguishing water must not be discharged into drains. Contaminated fire
extinguishing water and fire residues must be disposed of in accordance with
current regulations.
