6. FUNCTIONING
Totem usage
Below you will find a list of the various parts of the totem accessible from
the outside with their functioning. Attention, not all totems have all the
components and consequently their functions available. Check in chapter 3
which components listed below are an integral part of your totem.
POWER SUPPLY
All totems, with the exception of J2S Venice, require an
external power source. The totems need 220V power but
J2S Rome and J2S Milan can also be powered exclusively by
connecting to the LAN cable.
SCREEN
Check that the screen is on, otherwise turn on the totem. It
is possible to adjust the brightness using the appropriate
buttons on the display, accessible from inside the totem by
opening the upper door. The screen can be used to show
content and, in the case of a touch screen, also to use
interactive platforms. The user can look at the screen and
interact with it by touching it with their fingers. Do not touch
the screen with wet or dirty hands. Be careful not to scratch
the display and not to hit it with force or with objects that
could damage it. The screens are available in various sizes
and models.
CAMERA

The video camera is automatically activated when the totem
is turned on and remains in operation until the totem is turned
off.
Cameras differ in standard, thermal and thermal pro.
Standard video cameras record images that can be used for
various commercial purposes.
The thermal cameras are able to detect the body
temperature of a user between 1.40 m and 2.00 m high at
a distance from the totem between 0.3 and 1.8 m. These
cameras have a measurement accuracy of 0.3 ° C.
Pro thermal cameras can be programmed to perform a
variety of tasks. They are able to detect the body temperature
of up to four people at the same time, with a height between
1.30 m and 2.20 m at a distance from the totem between 0.3
and 3.0 m. These cameras have a measurement accuracy of
0.5 ° C.
To have the body temperature detected, simply pass in
front of the camera which will autonomously carry out the
measurements.
The thermal camera pro only works if it is correctly
programmed.
