To calculate the minimal mounting depth ( g. 5.4, dim A) the form of the connectors (cable outlet direction)
and the minimum bending radii of the connecting cables at the sub-D connectors have to be regarded.

5.2
Electrical Installation
5.2.1
Important notes
All installation work may only be carried out if the machine or plant is not live and protected against restart.
Never exceed the maximum rated voltage at the X6 connector!

Th e guarding of the AC supply and the 24 V logic voltage should be carried out by the user.
Servo amplifi er and motor have to be properly grounded. Th e protective earth conductor must have at least
the same diameter as the supply cables. Th e servo amplifi er should be mounted onto a conductive (not var-
nished) metal mounting plate.
When the device is used in an UL environment:
ECOVARIO 616 xx-xJ-xxx xxx is suitable for use on a
circuit capable of delivering not more than 5 kA
RMS
symmetrical amperes, 480Y/277 V maximum when
protected by (DIQV) listed circuit breaker rated 16 A maximum. Th e feeding system must be grounded at
the center.
5.2.2
EMC compliant installation
Th e supply connection of the servo amplifi er has to be equipped with an appropriate RFI suppression fi lter
(mains fi lter, e.g. Block HLD 110-500/12 has been used for EMC testing / for 12 A, also available for 8 A
and 16 A depending on the current of the fuse used). Recommended position cf. chapter 5.2.3. Always use
shielded cables. To connect the shield as eff ective as possible to earth use the original ECOVARIO® shield set
(s. table 9.1 „Original accessories ECOVARIO®“).
