ANNEXE 1: TROUBLESHOOTING

NO SPARK

No power supply
-

Make sure that the appliance is correctly connected.

-

Make sure that the breaker in the central electric board is
on.

-

Make sure that the socket outlet is powered

*

-

Make sure that power cable is not pinched, damaged or
shorted. Replace it if needed

*

.

-

Make sure that the power cable is not in contact with
metal objects since this can weaken the spark.

-

Make sure that the remote control is working (battery
status / ignition menu / no error messages)

Défaut lié à l’électrode

-

Make sure that the solenoid valve block is not in fail-safe
position. There must be an error message on the remote
control. Please refer to these operating instructions to
check the error message. Fix the fault and reset the
solenoid valve block by pressing reset.

*

-

Make sure there are no decorative elements between the
electrode and the burner

*

-

Make sure that there is a 3mm distance between the
electrode and the burner and that the electrode end is
close to a flame hole.

*

-

Make sure that electrode cable is not damaged and that it
is firmly connected to the solenoid valve.

*

-

If the electrode is broken or faulty, replace it with a new
one. *

SPARK BUT NO IGNITION

-

Make sure that the gas tap is open.

-

Make sure that the remote control is working (ignition
menu / no error messages).

-

Check if the burner ignites with a match. If this is the
case, make sure that there is a 3mm distance between
the electrode and the burner and that the electrode end is
close to a flame hole.

*

-

Check the gas supply pressure. Adjust the gas pressure if
needed.

*

-

Make sure there is no air in the circuit and purge the gas
supply pipes if needed

*

-

Check if the solenoid valve is working properly. Replace it
if faulty

*

FLAME IS IRREGULAR

-

Make sure that the media position (logs and ceramic
embers) corresponds to the plan.

-

Check the gas supply pressure

*

. Adjust the gas pressure

if needed.

-

Make sure there is no air in the circuit and purge the gas
supply pipes if needed

*

GAS SMELL

-

There is a gas leak. Close the gas tap, find the leak and
eliminate it. Never use a flame to check for gas leaks.

-

The appliance is not airtight. Check all the airtight seals
and replace faulty seals if needed.

THE REMOTE CONTROL DOES NOT WORK

-

Check battery status.

-

Make sure that the remote-control receiver is firmly
connected to the solenoid valve block.

-

Replace the remote control or the receiver if faulty

* Requires the intervention of an experienced

technician trained in BORDELET devices.

THE APPLIANCE SWITCHES OFF

-

Make sure that the gas tap is open.

-

Check the gas supply pressure. Adjust the gas pressure if
needed.

*

-

Make sure that the injectors are not fully or partially
obstructed. Clean or replace the injector(s) if needed

*

.

-

The electrode does not detect the flame. Make sure there
are no decorative elements between the electrode and
the burner

Make sure that there is a 3mm distance

between the electrode and the burner and that the
electrode end is close to a flame hole.

*

-

Make sure that electrode is firmly connected to the
solenoid valve block and that the cable is not damaged or
cut.

-

Make sure that flue ducts are airtight.

LOUD POPPING NOISE

-

Switch off the appliance and check the gas supply
pressures (values can be found in the technical
characteristics in 1.Installation instructions of these
instructions)

*

.

-

Make sure that the electrode is close to a flame hole and
that the decorative elements near the electrode do not
prevent a proper gas flow (obstruction of flame holes or
deflection of gas flow away from the electrode).

-

Before restarting or re-operating the appliance, it is
essential to check if seals are deteriorated and if the valve
at the top of the fireplace (pressure release valve) is still
there and in good working order.

-

Make sure that flue ducts are airtight.
