INSTALLATION OF THE BASE

Place the base on a flat floor. The appliance has 4 height-

adjustable feet.

Please make sure to comply with distances from inflammable

materials as provided in the technical characteristics and

make sure that the appliance is in the correct position before

installing the base.

Caution, the foot screws will no longer be easily accessible

once the fireplace is mounted on the base.

A 10mm minimum distance between the base and the

floor must be kept to ventilate the appliance.

INSTALLING THE FIREPLACE ON THE BASE

Be careful not to damage the gas system mounted on the

base when installing the fireplace.

The fireplace must be oriented according to the 2 marks, one

on the base of the fireplace and one on the base plate.

Bolt the fireplace to the base using the 3 x 15mm-long M6

bolts.

Before continuing the installation, it is necessary to make
sure that the pressure relief valve can move freely.
In order to do so, lift it several times to the maximum from
the outside of the fireplace.

Warning: the data plate attached to the burner thermal shield

with a small chain must remain accessible.

DETERMINING THE FLUE CONFIGURATION

Make a diagram of the desired layout of the concentric flue

system.

Respect the required distances from flammable materials and

the position of permitted outlets as described below when

positioning your appliance

Make sure the layout is permissible from a technical point of

view based on the tables of paragraph:

“How

to calculate the

deflector

position”

. If it is not, an alternative layout must be

determined.

Attention, depending on the layout, the appliance will use

either

POUJOULAT DUOGAS Ø130/200

flue ducts for C11

configuration, or

POUJOULAT DUOGAS Ø100/150

flue

ducts for C31 or C91 configuration.

PREPARATION OF THE GAS AND ELECTRICITY SUPPLY

POINTS

The appliance may be connected to the gas and electricity

supplies inside the base, or outside for wall-mounted

appliances. When connecting inside the base, leave a certain

amount of space free. This is required to accommodate the

solenoid valve block, the flame controller and the receiver.

We recommend that you provide the gas supply and the

electrical connection on the front of the base. This will allow

easy access for any intervention subsequent to the

installation of the device.

REMOVING THE

FIREPLACE’S

GLASS SCREENS

Before commencing installation of the appliance, the

fireplace’s

glass screens must be removed.

To do this, remove the top and bottom fastenings and set

them aside for later.

Glass screens must be handled carefully using gloves.

The dismantled glass screens must be placed on a soft

surface away from people.

Even a small chip can quickly lead to a crack or even a

broken glass.
