22.4.1 Assigning events
Insert a music CD or activate the SMPTE source and start the desired track with the softkey PLAY.
In order to assign events to the track, press the cue or chase keys, on which the events are stored, when
the specific passage of the track is played.
22.4.2 Moving events
In order to move an event to the correct passage of the music track, the LOOP function must be activated
during programming of the event (the softkey LOOP is displayed inverted, when the LOOP function is
activated).
If now an event is activated and programmed by pressing the corresponding cue or chase key, a loop will
be set automatically around the event (see illustration in Chapter 22.2). The loop is marked on the display
in line „M“ with two bars. To move an event within a loop, proceed as follows:
Turn the middle encoder wheel (/-) to enter the desired period of time, by which the event
should be moved forward or backward within the music track. This time can is indicated on the display
after the abbreviation OFS.
The event is moved only when the softkey MOVE is pressed. This softkey will appear on the display as
soon as the encoder wheel is turned.
Repeat this procedure as often as required.
To continue programming, press the softkey
PLAY. The track continues playing from this passage. If
you wish to insert another event, proceed as described in Chapter 22.4.1.
Subsequent moving of an event is performed in the Edit menu of the timline programming function
cf.:

22.5 Complex timeline programming
This chapter will deal with all possibilities of timeline programming. Activate the Timeline menu as follows:
Enter the main menu and consecutively press the softkeys TOOLS and TILINE. Then press the softkey
CDPLAY and the following display is shown:
Before a CD can be inserted, you must unlock the CD drive
by pressing the softkey UNLOCK. The display will confirm
with the message LOCK INACTIVE. Open the CD drive by
pressing the key located at the disk tray and insert a CD. We
recommend locking of the CD drive after insertion of the CD,
so that you cannot open it by mistake during use. Press the
softkey LOCK to lock the CD drive agan. The display confirms
the process with the message LOCK ACTIVE.
Select the desired track by pressing the softkeys <--- or --->.
Now set a music loop with the softkeys A-FROM and A-TO. Start the desired track by pressing the
softkey PLAY.
Then determine the desired music passage in the track. Press the softkey A-FROM to mark the start of
the loop. The marker is shown on the display in the line „M“. Mark the end of the loop by pressing the
softkey A-TO. The second marker will also be displayed in line „M“.
After the markers are set, the track continues playing. To start the loop, press the softkey A-PLAY.
You can overwrite the marker at any time.
Press the ESC key once to return to the Timeline menu.
Now define the loop as described in Chapter 22.3 Entering basic parameters for timeline
programming (LOOP).
