1.
Position the thrust-fan guard support on the thrust-bearing end cover.
2.
Install and tighten the thrust-bearing end cover and bearing-frame s3700crews
evenly to torque values shown in the Maximum torque values for fasteners table.
3.
Install the thrust fan over the shaft.
4.
Position the thrust-deflector fan approximately 0.8 mm | 0.030 in. from the thrust IN-
PRO seal on SA and MA pumps. Place the fan against the coupling-diameter
shoulder and tighten the deflector-fan set screw firmly.
5.
Tighten the heat-flinger set screws firmly.

1.
Install and tighten the thrust-bearing end cover and bearing-frame screws evenly to
the torque values in the Maximum torque values for 3700 fasteners table.
2.
Verify that the shaft turns freely. If you detect rubbing or excessive drag, then deter-
mine the cause and correct it.
