Impeller replacement
This table shows the criteria for replacing the impeller:

Impeller vanes

When grooved deeper than 1.6 mm | 1/16 in., or
•
When worn evenly more than 0.8 mm | 1/32 in.
Pumpout vanes When worn or bent more than 0.8 mm | 1/32 in.
Vane edges
When you see cracks, pitting, or corrosion damage
Impeller checks
NOTICE:
Protect machined surfaces while cleaning the parts. Failure to do so may result in equipment
damage.

Check and clean the impeller bore diameter.
•
Check the impeller balance. Rebalance the impeller if it exceeds the ISO 1940 G1.0 criteria.
NOTICE:
You must have extremely accurate tooling equipment to balance impellers to the ISO 1940
G1.0 criteria. Do not attempt to balance impellers to this criteria unless this type of tooling and
equipment is available.

Venturi Insert Inspection (3700LFI Only)
Inspect the insert for excessive wear or pitting. Inspect the notch and the through hole on the end of the
venturi insert. Ensure no foreign material is present. Clean thoroughly in order to remove any debris. Re-
place insert if there is any damage, wear, or pitting present to the notch, through hole, or gasket surfa-
ces.
