6.4.3 Drain the pump
CAUTION:
•
Risk of physical injury. Allow all system and pump components to cool before handling.
•
If the pumped fluid is non-conductive, drain and flush the pump with a conductive fluid un-
der conditions that will not allow for a spark to be released to the atmosphere.
6.4.4 Remove the back pull-out assembly
WARNING:
Lifting and handling heavy equipment poses a crush hazard. Use caution during lifting and
handling and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE, such as steel-toed shoes,
gloves, etc.) at all times. Seek assistance if necessary.
1.
The back pull out assembly consists of all parts except the casing (100) and casing insert (100W
3700LFI only). The casing (100) can remain on the foundation and in the piping, if it is not the cas-
ing itself, which must be repaired. Drain the casing, by removing the casing drain plug (if equip-
ped).Remove the case nuts.
2.
Tighten the jackscrews evenly, using an alternating pattern, in order to remove the back pull-out as-
sembly.
You can use penetrating oil if the adapter to the casing joint is corroded.
