9.6 Replacing the 2,5’’ hard disk
To replace the 2.5” hard disk:
•
Switch power off and detach power cord.
•
Open the back cover.
•
Keep a note of the cabling (wiring).
•
Remove the cable from the hard disk.
•
Unscrew the 4 screws securing the hard disk holder to the stand-offs. Remove
completely the holder. Unscrew the four screws that lock the hard disk to the
holder (see picture).
•
Replace the hard disk and fix it to the holder with the 4 screws as before. Use
original screws type. Different type of screws can damage it.
•
Install the holder and lock it to the stand-offs.
•
Connect the cable to the hard disk.
•
Close and screw the back cover.
•
Switch power on and check that the BIOS detect the new hard disk.
•
Install the Operating System and all the software you need.
