7 TROUBLESHOOTING AND MAINTENANCE
Invacare® Solo

Alarm - Watch dog
time-out
Program counter of CPU is running code that it was never designed to run. Program operation will become unstable.
Program stack space was exceeded. An invalid function pointer is being used.
2818
Alarm - ee Writer
not verified
During verification of write, the memory written does not match the memory read. The EEPROM memory may be
damaged.
2819
Alarm - ee
Recover lower
The lower copy of the EEPROM memory does not match its checksum. There are two copies of EEPROM memory, an
upper and lower. If one is invalid, it will automatically be corrected, by copying the valid memory.
2820
Alarm - ee
Memory corrupted
Both the upper and lower copies of EEPROM memory doe not match their checksums. All memory is corrupted. The
unit will need to be recalibrated if EEPROM memory is not damaged. The EEPROM memory may be damaged.
2821
Alarm - Serial ee to
long to write
EEPROM took longer than 1 second to write. EEPROM shares the same (SPI) bus as the LCD. The LCD controller
might be holding the SPI bus. There might be a problem with either the EEPROM or LCD device using the SPI bus.
2822
ALarm - Sci tx
The RS232 port is having trouble transmitting data out its port. More than 20 attempts were made to transmit data
from the MCU register out the RS232 port without success.
2823
Alarm - err Import
eeprom
During a request to read information from the GUI, an invalid data size type was sent from the GUI. The serial
transmission might be noisy. Check GUI SNAP statistics group for possible packet errors.
2824
Alarm - Recover
upper
The upper copy of the EEPROM memory does not match its checksum. There are two copies of EEPROM memory, an
upper and lower. If one is invalid, it will automatically be corrected, by copying the valid memory.
2825
Alarm - Sci rx
resend packet err
Not applicable. The code is reserved for Solo2 softare development debugging.
2826
Alarm - Err export
eeprom
During a request to write information from the GUI, an invalid data size type was sent from the GUI. The serial
transmission might be noisy. Check GUI SNAP statistics group for possible packet errors.
2827
Alarm - ee Export
too long to write
SNAP command for a serial write to EEPROM timed out after 5 seconds. there might be a problem with the EEPROM,
LCD or SPI bus.
2828
Alarm - Battery
controller wait to
acquire i2c time
out
Battery was not able to acquire the I2C bus within 100 msec. I2C bus is shared between the battery, battery MUX, and
GPIO expander/12C bus might be latched up. Some device on the I2C bus is not releasing it for other peripheral use.
Make sure SDA and SCL are in a pulled High state. If they are continually held Low some device has latched them
permanently in a low condition.
