Service processor error codes

NOTE
These codes are viewed in the SBCE management module log.
When viewed from POST, service processor error codes will appear in hexadecimal form (generally
beginning with A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, AD, AE, or E1). However, when viewed from the System
Error Log, the messages will appear as text. To determine a possible error condition for the service
processor, the System Error Log (see “Viewing error logs from the Configuration/Setup Utility
program” on page 21) will refer you to the management module log in the SBCE unit.

Service processor problems
Symptom
FRU/action
Service processor in the
management module reports a
general monitor failure.
•
Disconnect the SBCE unit from all electrical sources, wait for 30 seconds,
reconnect the SBCE unit to the electrical sources, and restart the server. If the
problem remains, see “Undetermined problems” on page 100 and the Intel
Server System SBCE Hardware Maintenance Manual and Troubleshooting
Guide on the Resource CD

All SCSI Errors One or more of the
following might be causing the problem:

A failing SCSI device
(adapter, drive)
•
An improper SCSI configuration
•
Duplicate SCSI IDs in the same SCSI
chain
•
Verify that the SCSI devices are configured correctly.
