Drive Bay
Note:
If the drive bay contains a drive blank, follow the steps in
Section 3.4.3
before installing the drive.
1.
Ensure the lever is in the open position and the drive mounting rail is pulled halfway out.
2.
Align the drive assembly with the open drive bay.
3.
Insert the assembled 7-mm thick drive (or non-assembled 15-mm thick drive) into the drive bay (see
Letter A).
Note:
Intel recommends holding the drive with one hand while holding the lever with the other hand.
4.
Slide forward until the drive contacts with the backplane (see Letter B).
5.
Complete the drive installation by closing the drive extraction lever until it locks into place (see Letter C).
