3.3.1
Riser Card Bracket Removal
As shown in the figures above, there are multiple types of riser card brackets included with the system. The
instructions for installation are the same for each.

Power off the system and disconnect the power cable(s).
2.
Remove the system top cover (see
Section 3.1.1
).
3.
Remove the air duct (see
Section 3.2.1
4.
If present, disconnect all cables (internal or external) that may be attached to the riser assembly.
5.
Loosen the two screw mounts on the side of the riser card bracket from the server board screws
(see Letter A).
6.
Grasp the riser card bracket with both hands and carefully pull it up and away from the chassis
(see Letter B).
Note:
Ensure the two key slots on the riser card bracket detach from the mounting keys on the chassis
back panel (see orange lines in the figure).
7.
Reconnect cables (internal or external) to the riser assembly, if needed.

Reinstall the air duct (see
Section 3.2.2
9.
Reinstall the system top cover (see
Section 3.1.2
