Programming Manual
Programming the telephone dialler
59
This function will allow you to define the operating principles of the telephone dialler in the presence
of an event generated by status changes relating to the control panel and its CPU components.
Voice calls must be associated with one or more voice messages. These messages can be recorded
using an ordinary touch-tone telephone directly connected to the SmartLoop\PSTN board (refer to
Appendix C - Recording the dialler voice messages).
Digital calls must be associated with the codes of the events they are generated by. However, this not
necessary for SIA and Contact ID protocols as the control panel assigns the event codes
automatically.
If you want the system to send communications over TCP/IP or via e-mail, you must activate the
telephone actions in TCP/IP queue option, and then program the respective parameters on the
SmartLAN page.
22.2.1 Parameters
FROM PANEL
Not available.
22.3 Setting up emergency calls
FROM COMPUTER
Go to SmartLoop System, Control panel x, SmartLoop/PSTN, System Programming, Emergency
Calls
This function will allow you to define the Telephone Numbers associated with Emergency voice or
digital calls.
• Control panel missing: the mother board has stopped communicating with the SmartLoop/PSTN
board.
• Emergency alarm: the control panel microprocessor (CPU) is out-of-order. The loop microprocessors
will continue to keep the system “going” and will communicate the emergency alarm to the
SmartLoop/PSTN board.
Digital calls must be associated with the codes of the events they are generated by. However, this not
necessary for SIA and Contact ID protocols as the control panel assigns the event codes
automatically.
Voice calls must be associated with one or more pre-recorded messages (refer to Appendix C ).
Telephone actions queued on activation
The action is activated when the related conditions occur.
Telephone actions queued on restore
The actions is activated when the conditions clear.
Dial all voice numbers
If selected, the device will call alternately the two or more
numbers associated with the event (to send voice messages)
until all numbers successfully receive the call. If not selected,
the device will call until one number only successfully receives
the call.
Dial all digital numbers
The same as Dial all voice numbers, but for digital numbers.
Actions queued on TCP/IP
The action associated with the event will also be sent to the
SmartLAN board. You can define the actions to be taken on
receipt of the communication on the SmartLAN programming
page (e-mail, communication via TCP-IP, etc.).
