14.2.1 Parameters
14.2.2 The Groups
The groups can be activated by one or more zone signals or by one or more devices, and can (during
ON status) activate or block one or more zone signals or activate an output.
Each zone and device can activate up to 3 groups. It is possible to select the zone/device conditions
that generate activation of each group.
You can also select the group that activates or blocks one or more zone signals (for example, to block
extinction during certain times of the day). For this purpose, you must create a group that is ON when
the timer that controls time of day concerned is ON. You must then empower the group to block the
zone Extinction signal.
14.2.3 Interaction among zones
This is a chart that plots the operating mode of other zones in the event of zone Alarm or Evacuate
status (for example: in a 12 storey building the zone on the tenth floor is in Alarm status and it is
necessary to trigger an Evacuate signal on zones 9 and 10 and a Pre-alarm signal on zones 8 and 12).
Pre-alarm Time
The zone Pre-alarm signal has activated and the zone is waiting for the pre-alarm
time to expire before triggering an alarm.
Investigation Time
Length of Investigation Time, starting from when the INVESTIGATE button is
pressed during a pre-alarm. Pressing this button will stop the pre-alarm timer and
start the INVESTIGATE timer.
Alarm verification

Alarm verification time. If a point (detector) exceeds the pre-set threshold value, it
will be reset by the panel. If the point (detector) exceeds the pre-set threshold value
while the 'verify alarm' time is running, it will trigger an alarm. If it does not, it will
restore to standby status. Applied to detectors with Verify=YES.
Double-knock
window
An interval during which at least two points must go into alarm status in order to
activate a Double-knock signal.
The Double-knock signal is activated only when two or more devices belonging to
the zone go into alarm status during a pre-set window, and is a way of lowering the
false alarm rate. This signal can be managed separately from the Alarm signal.
The Double-knock signal does not influence the status of the Alarm signal, that
indicates that at least one device, seen by the control panel as a point, is in alarm
status.
If this parameter is disabled, a double-knock alarm will be considered valid when
the second alarm occurs on the zone regardless of the time that has passed between
the two alarms.
Evacuate Delay -
Day/Night mode
This is the delay the system applies to the first alarm on the zone. When the delay
expires, the zone will automatically generate the Evacuate signal. This can be used
for the management of two levels of alarm. A first level (Alarm) activated
automatically by the system, and a second level (Evacuate) activated after
confirmation given by an authorized person, or automatically after a further delay.
This can be differentiated for Day and Night mode.
Close zonal Fire

Select the condition that will activate the Fire doors signal (e.g. Alarm, Early
Warning). Never automatic: this indicates that the signal can be activated by
external causes only (Inputs, timers or equations).

Select the event that will activate the Fire extinguishment signal (e.g. Alarm,
Double Knock), and the delay to be applied after the first event.
Activate zonal Voice
Alarm signal
Select the event that will activate the Voice Alarm signal (e.g. Alarm, Early
Warning). Never automatic: this indicates that the signal can be activated by
external causes only (Inputs, timers or equations).
