Prior to connecting the equipment, make sure that the voltage val-
ues of the equipment match those of the local power supply. The
mains connection must be easily accessible at all times so that the
equipment can be disconnected from the power supply quickly in
case of an emergency.
For information on the electrical connection values, see chapter
12.2.2 "Electrical Connection and Performance Values", page 81.
3.6 Openings
3.6.1 Discharge Outlet
The opening for discharging leaked liquids, detergents or conden-
sation that has collected is located near the centre underneath the
door (2). The opening is sealed with a cover cap on delivery. The
drain pipe for controlled drainage of liquids is located in a holder in
the interior of the equipment (1).
INFORMATION
In case of a large fill volume, we recommend installing a drain
hose in order to prevent the bearings from coming into contact
with liquid if a flask breaks.
If safety requirements must be met, e.g. when working with ge-
netically modified organisms, the discharge hose must lead to a
suitable, sealed receptacle. One example of such a receptacle
would be an empty chemical container sealed with foil.
3.6.2 Air Vents
The equipment has air vents on the rear of the casing. When set-
ting up the equipment, you must ensure that these air vents remain
unobstructed in order to ensure that the exhaust air can be ex-
tracted without obstruction and none of the components overheat.
