3.7 Important information for Smart Stack
This section provides important information on setting up the Main and Sub
projectors, but not on menu operation. Read this information carefully.
● To use Smart Stack, one projector must be set to Main and the other set to Sub.
● When stacking both projectors, the control panel of the projector at the bottom
of the stack cannot be operated. Therefore it is strongly recommended that the
lower projector is set Sub and the projector on top is set to Main.
● All buttons except the
STANDBY/ON
button on the Sub projector's control panel
are disabled. Operate the projectors with the Main projector's control panel or
the remote control.
● Pressing the Sub projector's
STANDBY/ON
button does not allow you to turn
off only the Sub projector. Both the Main and Sub projectors will turn off when
the button is pressed for more than 3 seconds. Pressing the button also will not
turn on either the Main or
Sub projectors.
● The Main projector is capable of receiving remote control signals (not the Sub
projector), so point the remote control at the Main projector.
● If a wired remote control is used, connect the cable to the Main projector instead
of the Sub projector.
● For simple PC mouse and keyboard functions, connect both the Main and Sub
projectors to your computer with USB cables. (

● AUTO SOURCE is disabled when the projector is used in a Smart Stack.
● Network communication and Web Control directly to the Sub projector cannot
be used to turn on the Sub projector. The Sub projector can only be controlled
through the Main projector.
● The Sub projector's remote control functions via Web Control will be disabled.
● If you try to turn on the projectors using the Power on and Display on feature
on the Messenger function, the projectors will exit Smart Stack and display the
specified message. To start Smart Stack again, re-select MAIN/SUB on both
projectors in the STACK MODE dialog, or turn off and on both projectors again.
● The Main and Sub projectors share the following settings.
