Click “Add Port” again, and make the following entries in the pop-up and click OK.
Make sure that UDP Protocol is selected and Port number is 1434
. Name it as you
wish.

Verify “SQLBROWSER” has been added to the Exceptions list and click OK.

Log on to SQL Server using SA log-in or Windows Authentication. Right-click on the
server node and choose Properties

Go to Left Tab of Connections and verify “Allow remote connections to this server” is
enabled.
