Local Calibration of the LDC-3700C Temperature Controller
The following procedure is for calibrating the 100 µA and 10 µA thermistor current
sources so that the thermistor resistance measurement for these ranges will meet
the stated accuracy specifications.
Calibrating the Thermistor

Set the
SENSOR
SELECT
switch (back panel) to the 100 µA position, the TEC display
code is --01.

Using the multimeter, measure and record the resistance of your metal film resistors. ILX
recommends a 4-point probe resistance measurement.

Connect the correct metal film resistor to the sensor input of the Temperature Controller
15 pin connector on the rear panel, and sensor - terminals.

Enter the TEC sensor calibration mode by pushing the (
Communications
)
LOCAL
and
(
TEC
DISPLAY

switches at the same time. The sensor code (

switch to store the new value into non-volatile memory.

switch is released, the LDC-3700C Series Laser Diode
Controller will return to its former state (before calibration).

Switch the

code --02, and repeat this procedure with the 100 k
resistor as the load at the
