iG8 User Manual

Click the ‘Login’ button, you will be at the ‘Home Screen’ of the GPS receiver:

From the Wi-Fi interface, you can configure nearly every aspect of the receiver’s operation.

Using HcConfig via Wi-Fi or Serial Port

HcConfig can be used to configure many of the receiver’s settings via Wi-Fi or by direct connection to a serial port.

You can download the latest version of HcConfig from this Tools link on the iG8 website: www.iG8g.com

Download the latest build (the version with the highest ending number.) Build 1196 or higher is required for the iG8.

HcConfig by Serial Port

Connect your computer’s serial port to the 9-pin serial cable connected to the serial port on the iG8:

Run HcConfig:

Click on the ‘Connection’ button:

Configure as shown, but be sure to choose the
correct COM Port for your connection.
