4a Tighten the thumb nut and click on
Resistances
. If the X1, X2, Y1 or Y2 resistances do not
drop below 250 ohm after tightening the thumb nut, set the Scan Range to 10 micron on the
Scan page, and try clicking on
Resistances
again.
4b. If X1, X2, Y1 or Y2 are below 250 ohm, you can click on
Sweep
. If you encounter an error,
proceed to 5a. If the resistances are above 250 ohm after following these steps, one or more of
the lateral scanners of your device may have been damaged.
5a If the frequency sweep is smooth (not noisy) and Z is above 400 ohm, you can safely disable
the warning.
5b In the Adva
nced menu, scroll down to “Safety Configurations” section near the bottom.
5c Uncheck the “Check Resistances” box.
5d You can click on
Sweep
and the error message should no longer be displayed.
6. If any resistance of X1, X2, Y1 or Y2 is consistently below 100 ohm, contact ICSPI for
support.
