File Settings
When the scan is complete, you will be able to click
Save
to save the image as a .gsf file which
is native to Gwyddion post-processing software, and as a .png image. You can also save the
data as a .tsv file where the data points are arranged in a 2-d tab and line separated table.
The data will be saved in the folder specified by
Path
. Changing the save folder is
recommended, which can be achieved by clicking on the path. The default save location is the
nGauge software folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\ICSPI\nGauge). However, depending
on your computer’s configuration, Windows can occasionally store the data in the AppData
folder:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\ICSPI\nGauge
All 6 images (topography, phase, error forward/reverse) will be saved, and a Unix timestamp will
be appended to the file name.
The topography image is called “offset”.
