RELAYS
The IMM 8001 and 8002 relays are digital relays designed to protect medium-voltage motors as well as
high-power low-voltage motors. They combine all the functions required to provide a sophisticated
protection of all types of AC motors in a single compact case.
Due to the number of built-in protections, adjustment extent, and possible use of digital inputs as a
complement, the IMM 8000 relays are suitable for most specific motor protection problems.
All the protections are detailed in the tables, chapter 1.1.1.
All the measurements are detailed in the tables, chapter 1.1.2.
Main features of the IMM 8000 relays :
most functions built into the same case,
many measurements,
energy counters ,
digital signal processing,
fault diagnosis,
time stamped events for communications,
4 output units using a matrix set-up,
simple and user-friendly man-machine interface,
multi-language messages,
0-20 mA current loop/RS 485 digital serial communication,
double built-in CTs 1/5 A,
metal case with withdrawable electronics,
2 ranges of auxiliary power supplies with extended ranges,
6 digital inputs for relay functionality extension.
The IMM 8002 relays are different from the IMM 8001 relays through the presence of temperature
protection consisting of three Resistive Temperature Detectors.
