5.16. ALARM FOR TRIP LOOP FAULT SUPERVISION
Function
The IMM 8000 relays can supervise the trip loop in the following way :
Once a trip control order (internal or external) has been sent, a time-delay tsup> is started. If, after the
time-delay has elapsed, the contact of the switching device reporting motor stop has not changed status,
or if the positive phase sequence current Ipos is greater than 2 %In, the IMM 8000 relay sends an alarm.
The user can set parameters for an output unit to transmit this alarm, or possibly send this control order
to a circuit breaker upstream.
This supervision makes it possible to detect the fault of an auxiliary relay, a discontinuity in the
associated wiring, malfunction of the switching device, … .
Characteristics
Time-delay tsup> :
0.1-1 seconds in steps of 0.05 seconds
