6 - COMMISSIONING – ABNORMAL SITUATIONS
Commissioning with primary variables
All the test devices connected to the secondary power supply must be removed before the relay is put into
service. Before initiating commissioning, put into service all the required protections on relays T, P, A, and
B.
Before starting the motor, it is important to check that :
The current transformers have a nominal value which complies with the connection (1A or 5A),
and their minimum power is 5 VA, 5P10.
The network frequency must be identical to the parameterised frequency.
The auxiliary voltage is in the range indicated on the label.
The rear connectors are fully plugged in and screwed.
The trip loop is correct as well as the control orders and signallings.
The connection complies with the diagram.
Pay attention to the order of rotation of the phases
and to the CT and PT connection directions. On the connection diagram, the points
represent the direction of the flow of current.
Before the first start, possibly reset the various counters.
Start under normal operating conditions :
if starting is successful, verify the values of the PRESENT STATUS/START STATUS item
-
last start time,
-
start inhibit status, if any,
-
last start current,
-
recommended time constant Tau A.
if starting is unsuccessful, analyse what caused the trip with the display and indicator LEDs :
-
function which caused the trip,
-
trip value amplitude,
-
last start time and current.
