Key Lock
Removal
1. Remove the front cover, the side cover, and the rear cover of the unit following the
procedures described in “Front Cover” on page 4-3, “Side Cover” on page 4-6, and “Rear
Cover” on page 4-8.
2. Disconnect any cable connected to the Micro Channel (MCA) adapters installed in the
system unit. Record which cable attaches to which adapter.
3. Put the system unit in horizontal position.
4. Remove any MCA adapter installed using the procedure on page 4-14.
5. Remove the card retainers using the procedure on page 4-22.
6. Disconnect both the SCSI cable and the power cable from each disk drive installed in the
system unit.
7. Remove the disk trays using the procedure on pages 4-24.
8. Remove the CPU boards using the procedure on page 4-34.
9. Remove the memory card using the procedure on page 4-36.
10.Remove the front fan using the procedure on page 4-20.
11. Remove the system planar (ELM) using the procedure on page 4-46.
12.Remove the operator panel using the procedure on page 4-11.
13.Unscrew the retaining screw used to secure the key lock to the unit. The screw is
positioned under the key lock.
14.Remove the key lock, by pulling it out from the front side of the unit.
Replacement
1. Replace in reverse sequence.
