Is the operator panel display illuminated?
NO

YES

1. Check that the external power cable to the system unit has continuity.
2. Check that the external power cable is plugged into both the system unit and the power
outlet. To check the power cable on the system side you must unmount the unit rear
panel. See “Rear Cover”, on page 4-8.
3. Check that the power outlet has been wired correctly with the correct voltage.
Did you find a problem?
NO
Go to Step 5.
YES
Correct the problem. Go to “Map 0410: Repair Checkout” in the
Diagnostic
Information For Micro Channel Bus Systems

Note: Either the Power Supply (99 % failure probability) or the system planar (1 % failure
probability) is defective.
1. Unplug the system unit power cable from the wall outlet.
2. Replace the Power Supply. See “Power Supply” on page 4-44.
3. Connect the system unit power cable to the wall outlet.
Has the symptom changed?
NO
Reinstall the original Power Supply.
Repeat Step 5 exchanging the system planar. See “Base Unit System
Planar” on page 4-46.
If you exchanged both Power Supply and system planar with no results, call
your service support person for assistance.
YES
Go to “Map 0410: Repair Checkout” in the
