Connection of the Power Supply (and USB optionally)
To finish the setup, the power supply must be connected. Optionally, the USB cable can be used to
connect the Gas Mixer to an external computer. This enables the use of the IncuControl software de-
livered with the system (Section
) for data logging and control of the parameters of the experiment.
1. Plug the power supply into the connector on the Gas Mixer labeled ”Power”.
2. Connect the other end to the wall socket.
3. Optional: Connect the computer to the Gas Mixer with the supplied USB cable.
5.2
(Re)-Filling the Humidifying Column
Before the first use, the Humidifying Column must be filled with 130 ml of ultra-pure water. During
operation, the column should always be refilled before the water level falls below the minimum
mark.

Open the blue stopper on top of the column and use a wash bottle to fill it with ultra-pure water. The
water level must be in between the minimum and maximum mark (Figure
The re-filling of the Humidifying column can be done during operation, without stopping the Gas
Mixer. Note that re-filling the column during operation may lead to a temporary drop in the cham-
ber’s humidity.
