STORAGE PROCEDURE
If you don’t plan on using your motorcycle
for a long time, it will need special servicing
requiring appropriate materials, equipment
and skill. For this reason, Hyosung recom-
mends that you trust this maintenance work
to your dealer. If you wish to service the
machine for storage yourself, follow the gen-
eral guidelines below :

MOTORCYCLE
Clean the entire motorcycle.
Place the motorcycle on a firm, flat surface
where it will not fall over.
Turn the handlebars all the way to the left
and lock the steering, and remove the igni-
tion key.

FUEL
Fill the fuel tank to the top with fuel.
★
★
BATTERY
1. Remove the battery from the motorcycle.
N O T E
Be sure to remove the negative terminal
first, then remove the positive terminal.

2. Clean the outside of the battery with mild
detergent and remove any corrosion from
the terminals and wiring harness connec-
tions.
3. Store the battery in a room above freez-
ing.

TIRES
Inflate the tires to the normal pressure.

EXTERNAL
·
Spray all vinyl and rubber parts with
rubber protectant.
·
Spray the unpainted surfaces with rust
preventative.
·
Coat the painted surfaces with car wax.

MAINTENANCE DURING
STORAGE
Once a month, recharge the battery.

PROCEDURE FOR RETURN-
ING TO SERVICE
1. Clean the entire motorcycle.
2. Drain the engine oil, and replace the
engine oil filter & engine oil with a new
one.
3. Reinstall the battery.
4. Adjust the pressure of tires as described
in the TIRE section.
5. Remove the spark plugs and push sev-
eral times the electric starter switch to
start the engine.
Reinstall the spark plugs.
6. Lubricate all places as instructed in this
manual.
7. Perform the INSPECTION BEFORE
RIDING as listed in this manual.
N O T E
Be sure connect the positive terminal
first, then connect the negative terminal.
