8 Error codes / Troubleshooting
If the AS 8000 Control Unit recognizes errors preventing the trouble-free operation of the
system, the Ready-Relay is switched off and the last occurring error is displayed in the
status line. In this case, alarm messages of the defective AS 8000 Sensor are suppressed.
The AS 8000 Control Unit recognizes the following errors:
8.1 Error of the electronic temperature probe in the AS 8000 sensor
Error message Cause Remedy
Electronic-temperature
too high ! Temperature of the electronics
in the AS 8000 sensor is >
100°C (overflow). Cool the electronics in the AS
8000 Sensor.
Electronics temperature too
low ! Temperature of the electronics
in the AS 8000 Sensor is < -
20°C (underflow). Warm up the electronics in
the AS 8000 Sensor.
Temperature Sensor defective
! The temperature of the
electronics can no longer be
determined. AS 8000 could
possibly be wired the wrong
way round. Check the wiring to the AS
8000 Sensor.
8.2 AS 8000 -Sensor Error
Error message Cause Remedy
AS 8000-signal higher than
system-constants ! The AS 8000 sensor is not
fully immersed in the fluid. Check the fluid level and refill
if necessary until the AS
8000 sensor is immersed.
AS 8000-signal lower than
system-constants ! AS 8000 sensor outside of
entered calibration data.
Temperature higher than
system constants ! Fluid temperature > 80°C Cool fluid.
Temperature lower than
system constants! Fluid temperature < 5°C Warm up fluid
AS 8000-Sensor defective The AS 8000 sensor no longer
emits an AS 8000 signal. AS
8000 could possibly be wired
the wrong way round. Check the wiring to the AS
8000 Sensor.
8.3 Simultaneous errors of both systems
Error message Cause Remedy
Sensor not connected ! Temperature-sensor defective
!
and AS 8000 Sensor
defective ! are displayed
together.
Check the wiring to the AS
8000 Sensor.
