AquaSensor - AS 8000 series
The measured values for the range of the pure components A and B must be entered. Two
additional interim values are possible for mixtures of components A and B, as long as these
measurements are available. The mixture ratio of components A and B can be selected
freely.
A calculated control deviation is displayed. This offset can be calculated automatically at this
location with <Strg> <z>, or it is calculated by closing the contact "Digital°input"
simultaneously for both sensors. The correction of characteristics may be necessary, for
example, after an oil change in a monitored system when it has been determined that the
new oil has a different basic epsilon. The measured values do not need to be entered by
hand; rather, the characteristics are compared automatically by the sensors.
Figure 9 displays the table of values from figure 8 (measured values of a sensor) in graph
format. The values for the pure component A (oil) are shown on the left axis, and the values
for the pure component B (water) are shown on the right axis. The interim values to be
determined should be in the range of the planned working range of the sensor. Here, in the
range of 10% component B, approx. 20% of component B is in component A. For example,
this could be the mixture of water (B) in oil (A) in the range of 10% to 20%.
If no measured values are available for all possible temperatures, or for the mixture of
components A and B, experience from oil/water mixtures demonstrate that no very large
error is made during measurement with a linear interpolation of values for the temperature
and the mixing ratio.

7.2.2.2.1 Settings of the analog 4-20 mA interface
Fig. 10
The basic settings for the 4-20 mA interface can be carried out in the menu in figure 10. The
customer does not need to program the settings. The settings are carried out before the
delivery of the Control Unit according to their specifications and do not need to be changed
again.
