TECHNICAL INFORMATION AND TROUBLESHOOTING
All troubleshooting in this manual is based on the fact that you can reproduce the perceived problem�
A good multimeter is needed� Preferably the one recommended in the tools section�
• Make sure to set the multimeter to AC power when measuring grid power�
• Make sure to set the multimeter to ohm and preferably beep when measuring continuity�
• Make sure to set the multimeter to DC when measuring direct current circuitry�
WARNING! Working with the PP open while connected is hazardous� RISK FOR ELECTRICAL
SHOCK!
NOTE! Before starting maintenance and service on the power pack make sure it is drained of
power� Switch off and unplug the power pack from the power source and wait for at least 5
min before starting the maintenance and service�
Always use the new orange remote control when fault tracing� Also make sure the firmware
in both remote control and PP are the latest ones�
[Note: If possible try to replace PP, saw head and orange main cable one at the time to
determine which part to trouble shoot. The layout of the guides are as if there were no extra
PP, saw head or orange cable.]

General
Temp Sensors
There are two temperature sensors in the WS400HF system� One in the PP and one in the
blade motor� They act a little differently depending on where they are situated�
WS482: Starts to reduce power at 120°C� At 135°C it is reduced to 16kW� Above 135°C it shuts off�
PP480: Shuts off at 70°C�
WS440: Shuts off at 100°C�
PP440: Shuts off at 70°C�
Motor temperature sensor is possible to replace� From s/n WS440: 2011 00 08344
WS482: 2011 00 01176 there are two temp sensors molded in the stator winding�
It is also possible to glue a new sensor in if there is no working
sensor in the motor�
