4. Connecting & Running
4.1. Connecting camera
(1) Connect CCTV camera to HVR-16E with BNC cable as shown below.

1. The video type for all channels should be either NTSC or PAL, not be combined both.
2. HVR-16E sets video signal’s impedance ( 75
Ω
) automatically.
Impedance is set as 75 Ω basically. If connecting a device to video output, impedance will be “Hi-
z” status. Please refer to
“9.6. Connecting Video In/Output”
on page 39.
3. Video type (NTSC/PAL) should be changed after operating HVR-16E. The order of camera
recognition follows Ch1 camera through Ch16 camera and 1
st
recognized camera type leads other
camera types.
So in order to change video type, it is recommended to contact the cloest local HUNT
ELECTRONIC distributor. When changing it, refer to
“Appendix #2. How to change Video
Type”
on page 67. HUNT ELECTRONIC is not responsible for any service warranty about a
problem due to careless change.
