The system may generate alarms such as Rack quantity mismatch, Insufficient
redundant racks, and Inter-rack par. cable alarm. The alarms are automatically cleared 1
minute after you connect all parallel cables.

● The length of the parallel cable between two UPSs depends on the onsite environment.
● Route cables between the two UPSs through the busway between racks. If there is no
busway, route the cables along the routes of the EPO, ECC800, and dry contact signal
cables.
● If two racks are far away from each other, prepare a longer parallel cable.
Step 8 Power on the new UPS. For details, see
Step 9 If the Inconsistent parallel param. alarm is generated, choose System Info >
Settings on the LCD of the original system and tap Parameter Sync to
synchronize parameters between UPSs in the parallel system.
Step 10 If the PDC output breaker open alarm is generated in the system, choose System
Info > Alarms on the LCD and tap Clear Faults to clear the alarm.
Step 11 Turn on the external output switch of the new UPS to connect the UPS to the
parallel system. The new UPS has no output.
Step 12 If there are multiple new UPSs, repeat the preceding steps to add the UPSs to the
parallel system.
