Regulatory Information
The laser safety class of the libraries was defined in accordance with the
standard EN 60825-1 (1994). The safety class of the products was defined
according to the standard EN 60825.
WARNING
The use of the product otherwise than specified in the user’s manual
may expose the user to laser radiation exceeding safety class 1.
SERVICE
There are no user serviceable parts inside the HP DLT Tape Library units. The
DLT units can be serviced only by qualified service personnel. The laser
barcode reader installed inside the library units shall not be opened or
disassembled during service.
WARNING
If the enclosure of the tape library unit is opened, you may be
exposed to laser radiation when the barcode reader is operating.
Don’t stare into beam.

based on the rules of Voluntary Control Council For Interference by
