PCI-X Hot Plug Utility for Windows NT
The PCI-X Hot Plug Utility for Windows NT (located on the ProLiant Essentials
Foundation Pack) enables you to view the status of the PCI-X Hot Plug slots and to
initiate actions such as replacing a failed expansion board.
The Windows NT PCI-X Hot Plug Utility screen is divided into three sections:
•
•
•
Top
This area enables you to connect to a remote computer by typing the server name
in the combo box, selecting a server from the combo box, or clicking
Browse
to
bring up a selection dialog. Clicking
Refresh
refreshes the PCI-X Hot Plug
information for the current server.
Middle
The list control displays information about the PCI-X Hot Plug slots on the
current server: LEDs, location, expansion board name (if any), and the status of
the slot and/or expansion board. The columns can be sorted and resized, and
some can be hidden. These commands are accessible by right-clicking the mouse
on a column header.
Bottom
The filter drop-down list box can be used to define the slots shown: clicking
Power
toggles the power to the currently selected slot,
Help
brings up the
standard
Help Finder
dialog, and
Exit
exits the utility.
