Proceed to step 7 for instructions on how to connect the hot-plug cable to the backplane board.

Route the hot-plug cable from the standard height slot to the backplane board by first engaging
the connector end of the cable to the rear connector of the hot-plug SATA/SAS controller board.

Reinstall the PCI riser board assembly.
a.
Align the assembly with the system board expansion slots, and then press it down to ensure
full connection to the system board.
Make sure the hot-plug cable lays flat in the space between the system board and the power
supply unit.

Tighten the two captive thumbscrews to secure the assembly to the chassis.
