HPE 3PAR Service Processor
3PAR StoreServ Storage serial number
The 3PAR StoreServ Storage system serial number can be obtained from the
following locations:
•
At the rear of the system, next to the power switch for the controller node
enclosure PCM
•
In the product documentation provided with your system
SP Host Name
NOTE:
During the SP setup process, the 3PAR StoreServ Storage must be
powered on, connected to the same network subnet as the SP, and non-initialized
to allow the SP to verify the 3PAR StoreServ Storage serial number. Legacy 3PAR
StoreServ Storage systems used 7-digit serial numbers for configuration. The
3PAR StoreServ 8000 Storage no longer has a 7-digit serial number, but uses
instead a 10-character serial number for configuration.
This requires up-to-date versions of HPE 3PAR SP and VSP software and of HPE
3PAR SmartStart.
