Replacing levelling discs
Levelling discs
1. Lower the machine on the packer.
2. Extend the hydraulic cylinder of the drawbar and the undercarriage com-
pletely.
3. Fill up the hydraulic cylinder of the drawbar with aluminium clips.
4. Lower the row of discs.
5. Remove the discs.
6. Mount the new discs (tightening torque 85 ± 20 Nm).
6.5 Levellers
The levellers level the ground in front of the packer and distribute any existing har-
vesting residues.
The correct setting of the levellers depends on the conditions of use and must be
determined in the field.
The levellers are supposed to completely level the ridges the tines have created but
work with as little pressure as possible.
