21.5 Backup Battery
The XL+ has a battery backup system. It uses a lithium button coin type battery
.
The battery
powers the real time clock, registers, and data memory when power is removed.
The battery will generally last seven (7) to ten (10) years. Environmental conditions, including
extreme temperatures and humidity, can affect battery life. If the battery older than seven (7)
to ten (10) years old, it is recommended that it be replaced as preventative maintenance.
NOTE: Use only the proper battery type listed.
WARNING: DO NOT USE IF BATTERY IS LEAKING OR HAS BEEN DAMAGED.
WARNING: LITHIUM BATTERIES MAY EXPLODE OR CATCH FIRE IF MISTREATED.
DO NOT RECHARGE, DISASSEMBLE, HEAT ABOVE 100° C (212° F) INCINERATE, OR
PUNCTURE.

KNOWN TO BE NON-HAZARDOUS.
