System Configuration - WAN screen
The System Configuration - WAN screen allows you to specify static IP Address
information that will be used to manage this network if you do not use the DHCP server
to obtain an IP address.
Step
Action
1
Click on the
System Configuration - WAN
at the left of the screen to call up
the WAN screen.

Select WAN Link
Auto
from the drop down selections.
Note: When interfacing with Cisco switches, this setting may need to be set
to another value other than Auto.
Also see NOTE 1 below this procedure.

Click on the
Specify a static IP address
radio button.

Enter a valid
IP Address
for the WSG such as 192.168.254.254, or other
address as specified for the site.
Note that if the IP Address is changed and then applied, the PC network card
settings must be changed to log back in to the multinode.

Enter the
Subnet Mask
such as 255.255.255.0, or other subnet as specified
for the site.

Enter the
Default Gateway
such as 192.163.254.1, or other address as
specified for the site.

Leave DNS1 and DNS 2 fields blank unless a value is specified for the site.

Record the addresses entered in steps 4 through 7. They will be needed to
perform other tasks.

When you have completed entries for all fields on the screen, click
Apply
.

Log back into the multinode:
•
Open Internet Explorer and type in https:// and the new IP address from
step 4.
•
Type the username and password.
